Daily Schedule
| 7:30 – 8:30 | Early Arrival | After parents’ sign-in (located in each child’s classroom), children wash their hands, and a health check and verbal check-in will be conducted by one of the classroom teachers. Children will then go to the Open Classroom and have free play time until a classroom teacher collects them. |
| 8:30 – 9:30 | Outside Play Big Yard Time | Continued arrival of students. The children are welcome to participate in open activities in our play yard. There is a deck, a rocket ship, and other spaces and props to support dramatic play. We have a large sandbox, monkey bars, tricycles, scooters, balls, offering opportunities for large/gross-motor movement and development. Children also have opportunities with sensory activities. Children are welcome to come to the snack table as they wish throughout this period. We encourage everyone to eat if they feel hungry. |
| 9:30 – 10:00 | Morning Meeting | Circle time/Morning meeting with the class |
| 10:00 – 11:45 | Inside Choices | Children choose from the learning materials and areas of interest in the classroom. We offer special projects and materials which foster growth in the various developmental domains. Children participate in sensory activities, build with manipulative materials and blocks, and use their imagination with dramatic-play props, books, art and writing. Numerous opportunities from community building and problem-solving occur during this time. Wednesday is garden and mud kitchen day. Thursdays, we go on adventure outings. We leave campus at 9:30am. |
| 11:45-12:30 | Lunch & Hand-washing | We gather together to eat lunch. |
| 12:30 | Half Day Pick Up | Half Day children are picked up. |
| 12:30-2:30 | Rest Time | Rest time and stories. Author of the month. Every child has a mat and a rest space. We play soft music and turn off the lights. Our hope is that children have an opportunity to rest their bodies, and whenever appropriate, take a nap. |
| 1:30-2:30 | Non-nappers go outside | Children who are awake, after given the chance to rest, may now go outside to the play yard. |
| 2:30 – 3:45 | Afternoon Snack Time | Children can have snack, enjoy free play indoors and then go out to the yard |
| 3:45-4:30 | Pick-up/goodbye time | Children participate in art and free play. Parents sign their children out of the program for the day. |
| 6:00 | Pick-up time | Parents continue to pick up their children during this time. |
